Hi All,
Hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving.
Hunter finally turned on the guns Saturday morning
as a wicked cold front came through Friday night and left us with a thin white
coating of sleet and snow which remains on the frozen ground. Salt spreaders
were out last night. We are experiencing lake effect flurries today with temps
staying just below freezing. One can see from the road coming into Hunter from
Tannersville that Hellgate is well cvovered already. Expect a possible soft
opening and some poaching mid-week but the official opening day will most likely
be next Saturday December 1st. Expect cold snow making weather all week (see 7
day NWS forecast below).
Get your skis and bodies in shape!
Ski ya,
Jon
