Hi all you snow hounds,
Mother natured has once again treated us to more of that white gold. We
have at least a foot on the ground and it is still coming down heavy with poor
visibility and temps around 24 after teens overnight.
I did not go out so cannot comment on trail conditions. All local roads
are in poor shape including 23A. Here is the snow map and forecast: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Hunter&state=NY&site=ALY&lat=42.2112&lon=-74.2157#.VM_JSy6wFBI
and from the NWS:
A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT... FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.
It’s a winter wonderland,
Jon
