Hunter skiing 12/7

Hi Y'all,
Another very cold windy day but without flurries. There was no addt'l accumulation last night or today. The light is flat but once in a while there was a hint of sun. Ike opened today as did the Belt but the wind discouraged most from even trying to get down the upper part of the Belt and it was dark. Surface conditions I was told varied alot from powdery to slick hard pack. Snow guns are now on the Cliff & Huega also so there will be alot more terrain to ski by the end of the week with 24/7 blowing. The high today was 24 but the winds made it feel like low teens. The lift was running fine as they found and fixed a broken wire / sensor up on tower 5. B was also running today and Mossy Brook was open. Crowds as expected were very light. I may venture out on the slopes tomorrow for the first time and be able to give you a real first hand report - I have been fighting a head cold and staying out of the extreme wind chill. Hunter looks and feels like like a frozen white tundra. The weather for rest of the week into the weekend looks like more of the same.
Ski ya, http://hunterskiscene.blogspot.com/
