HUNTER SKIING 12/11

Hi All,
One of the top 2 days of the season - ha ha. Coooold but very sweet dry powder on top of a very good grooming job last night. It was like skiing out west with freshies every run and few people. The sun was out most of the day as temps leveled off at 21 and the wind was only a factor at the very top. Now cloudy with flurries. Minya was opened around 10:30 with fabulous powder all the way down thru Madison or via the crossover to Kennedy and was the run of the day but not by much over Ike which also was very sweet. HBK was also very nice and smooth. Guns were on all day and occasionally frosted you over. Tomorrow expect Cliff, Eside, Wayout and maybe a few others to open. Quad was running a bit slow due to winds and "B" was also open today. They finished plowing out the parking lot this am but it is very icy to walk over. The snow making has been exceptional! You will notice a few new additions to the lodge including a full permanent band stage set built in the far east corner of the bar area up against Colonel's Hall. Weekend movie: "The Men Who Stare At Goats". It will be bitter cold this weekend so dress warm kids! http://hunterskiscene.blogspot.com/
Happy Chanukah to all my Jewish friends.
Ski ya,
Jon
