HUNTER SNOW REPORT 12/ 9

Hi All,
Finally mother nature blessed us with some skiable snow and a solid base. We got 8-10" of heavy wet snow on top of the 6" we had earlier. It has stopped snowing now but we have a fine mist / light rain falling with temps at 37. This stuff will freeze on driveways and walks if not cleared when the real cold arrives Fri - Sun.
I assume they will do some grooming tonight for some sweet skiing tomorrow although strong winds forecast and the weekend looks to be even better. I drove over to the base of "Z" yesterday but there was no evidence of any snowmaking on the west side even tho covered by a thin white blanket - maybe tonight. All area schools were closed today as a winter weather road advisory was in effect.
The season starts tomorrow!! Stay tuned............. http://hunterskiscene.blogspot.com/
Ski ya,
Jon
